Design process begins with an architectural lens—understanding scale, proportion, and the spatial role an object will play before form is explored. Each product is conceived as a functional artifact with a strong narrative, evolving through sketches, material studies, and iterative prototyping. Inspiration is drawn from everyday spatial interactions, Indian craft traditions, and the honest behavior of materials themselves.
Material selection remains central to the process. Natural wood, stone, marble, and metals like brass are chosen for their tactile quality, aging potential, and structural integrity. Artisanal techniques such as hand-finishing, brass repoussé, and traditional joinery are often integrated, allowing craft to inform contemporary expression.
Wherever possible, materials are locally sourced and processes are optimized to reduce wastage. Collaborations with skilled craftsmen ensure that each piece reflects both design intent and the authenticity of hand-made production.
Sonder—the realization that every individual carries a rich inner world—resonates deeply with my design philosophy. My pieces are conceived as quiet participants in everyday life, witnessing moments, routines, and emotions that often go unnoticed. Rather than demanding attention, they reveal themselves gradually through use, touch, and time.
Each object is designed with intentional restraint, allowing space for personal interpretation and lived experience. Variations in material grain, hand-crafted imperfections, and subtle details acknowledge individuality—no two pieces are exactly alike, much like the lives unfolding around them. The interplay of form and function reflects everyday narratives, where objects become silent companions within intimate spaces.
Through architecture-led product design, my work embodies Sonder by honoring the unseen stories of users, craftsmen, and spaces—transforming functional objects into vessels of shared human presence and memory.
