reflection

Sonder is the quiet realization that every individual we encounter carries a life as complex, layered, and emotionally rich as our own. For Nayan Mote Studio, this idea forms an invisible foundation beneath our creative practice.

Our work emerges from observing the city and the people who inhabit it. The urban landscape — its unfinished edges, cracked surfaces, scaffolding, grids, shifting skylines, and dense proximities — becomes a metaphor for parallel lives unfolding simultaneously. Every building holds memories. Every wall absorbs time. Every space carries stories that remain unseen.

In our artworks and installations, we often work with concrete textures, layered compositions, repetition, fragmentation, and structural forms. These elements reflect the multiplicity of human existence. A fracture in material echoes emotional rupture. A grid suggests ordered chaos — individuals living side by side yet rarely intersecting. Minimal forms quietly hold complex narratives.

Sonder, in our practice, is about making the invisible visible. It is about acknowledging that beneath every architectural surface lies lived experience — labour, aspiration, routine, solitude, resilience. Our work attempts to translate these silent stories into tactile, spatial expressions.

Through abstraction and material exploration, we aim to create pieces that do more than occupy space — they hold empathy. They invite the viewer to pause, reflect, and recognize the depth of unseen lives surrounding them.
