This sculpture is a rhythmic abstraction of the Kath Kuni building style native to Himachal Pradesh. Historically defined by the interlocking of wood beams and stone without mortar, the technique is reimagined here as a singular, organic form.
These stoneware works bridge tradition and abstraction. Using the marble technique, I created vessels that rupture to reveal hand-carved Cubist geometries. Simultaneously, I use slab building to create rigid architectural bases, topping them with clay manipulated at peak moisture to mimic melting wax. The result is a permanent, ceramic exploration of gravity, history.
Sonder explores the realization that every stranger lives a life as complex as our own. My work translates these chaotic inner worlds into form, merging the rugged endurance of Himachal slate architecture and the surreal fluidity of melting wax. These sculptures capture the human condition: a rigid shell reshaped by the heat of internal experience.
