Created for the Sonder exhibition, Vena draws its character from the intricate network of lines carved into its many legs. At first glance, the legs appear uniform, but each one is set at a subtly different angle, creating a shifting pattern of linear paths that catch light and shadow uniquely.
This quiet irregularity speaks to the idea of sonder: the understanding that even when things look similar from afar, each element carries its own orientation, its own story, its own direction. Together, these legs form a connected structure—shared yet individually defined—supporting an organically contoured top that softens the entire composition.
Vena translates the complexity of human narratives into a sculptural, functional form.
The collection explores the quiet understanding that every individual carries a world as intricate as our own. Across the three pieces—Oblika, Sola, and Vena—this idea is interpreted through form, rhythm, and subtle irregularity.
Oblika, with its ascending column and uniquely placed spheres, reflects parallel narratives moving along a shared path. Sola expands this notion through its organic top, where soft pockets represent the varied contexts we inhabit, while the spheres embedded in its legs echo singular moments within a common structure. Vena expresses interconnectedness through a network of carved legs—similar at first glance, yet each angled differently, revealing the individuality that lies beneath apparent uniformity.
Together, these pieces form a sculptural meditation on coexistence: separate stories held within a collective framework, each adding depth to the spaces we share.
